July 13, 2026 | Peanut Butter & Prayer Project: Hope Begins with a Conversation
Today was another beautiful reminder that God is always at work.
As part of our daily Peanut Butter & Prayer Project, we went into our community with simple lunch bags containing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, cookies, water, and an orange. While these meals help meet a physical need, our true mission has always been much greater—to encounter Christ in those we serve and to share His love through prayer, conversation, and authentic relationships.
One of the greatest blessings from today’s outreach wasn’t simply the lunches we distributed. It was the conversations that followed.
A couple of the men we met accepted our phone number and expressed a genuine interest in learning more about the House of St. Joseph. That alone reminds us why we keep showing up. Every act of kindness plants a seed. Every prayer opens a door. Every conversation is an opportunity for God to transform a life.
The House of St. Joseph exists to help men discover who they are in Christ through prayer, the sacraments, fraternity, accountability, and a life rooted in the Gospel. We know that lasting transformation comes not merely from changing someone’s circumstances but from introducing them to Jesus Christ and walking with them as they grow in faith.
Please keep these men in your prayers. Ask the Lord to give them courage to take the next step, to heal the wounds they carry, to break every chain that holds them back, and to lead them into the freedom that only Christ can give.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for this mission, volunteer your time, donate supplies, and support our outreach. Lives are being touched every single day, and we know God is just getting started.
Please join us in praying:
Lord Jesus, bless every person we encountered today. Strengthen those who are searching for hope. Guide those who are considering a new beginning through the House of St. Joseph. Fill them with Your peace, surround them with faithful brothers, and remind them that they are deeply loved and never forgotten. We entrust them to the intercession of St. Joseph, protector of families and guardian of the Church. Amen.
One lunch. One prayer. One conversation. One soul at a time.
Viva Cristo Rey.
